Fallow my advise for internet searches. You can do your hunting research online fast and easy. Just fallow my first and only rule about online searching.
1. Be specific. Ask what you want to research. It's better to start specific and then broaden your research topic then to ask a general question, and get a million or more pages to look through. Here is an example; suppose you want go trophy whitetail deer hunting in Montana. You search deer hunting Montana. Oh, you will get information about deer hunting Montana, somewhere? You will also get info about other states and even "eBay"®. You will pull up sites about elk hunting (they are a deer), and a whole mess of pages not really relating to what you really want. So be specific. Try what your after; search "trophy whitetail deer hunting in Montana", If you want a guided hunt, say so "guided trophy whitetail deer hunting in Montana". By being that specific, you have narrowed down the search to more of what you are after, and the exact information you need. You can also type in the specific state's department of conservation, department of natural resources, department of fish and game and so on. Also look for a state's agency index guide. If you don't see it on there home page, type it in their search box.
Research state government agencies, tell them your doing hunting research and need specific deer hunting information. State agencies offer good information and can point you in the right direction for your deer hunting researched topics. Go online to state wildlife agencies for all hunting laws, regulations, and any updates to these before you go on your next hunting trip.
Many times, regulations and or restrictions are not finalized and signed into law before hunting regulation handbooks are published. By researching you deer hunting subject and hunting area you'll stay of top of any changes not published. If your going archery hunting in a certain restricted hunting area, a state agency can give you the regulations pertaining to that trophy deer hunt.
You can order topographical maps of the hunting land and area you will be hunting in. If you'll be camping, they will give your information about camping sites in your hunting area. They will also be able to tell you information such as; are there deer antler restrictions? Will you need special hunting gear or hunting equipment for your hunting trip? The state agencies will also have information about deer hunting harvest, and productive hunting areas. They will also give you information about contacting conservation officers in the area you plan to hunt. These people are a wealth of information, they live and work in the area you want to hunt. If asked; they will offer information about any unusual hunting supplies needed. They will also be able to give you a list of licensed hunting outfitters and deer hunting guides in the area they work.
If you need something besides online information about whitetail deer hunting there are some great publications you can look to in your hunting research. There are many good deer hunting magazines available that cover all types of deer hunting. Also look to books and DVD'S. Cable and satellite television offer many good outdoor channels that have programming for hunting the outdoors.
