
There are many ways for you to acquire a great deer hunter education. You have already discovered this great web site which will help you become a better deer hunter. You have already found a site full of hunting information. Study this web site form front to end and come back often for continuing your hunter education. Talk to those hunters who have years of experience hunting deer. Pick their brain. Find out what has worked for them and what they plan to do different the next deer hunting season. Ask why? Most successful deer hunters enjoy telling the hunting stories related to their hunting experiences. Let them talk, just ask them to clarify a few details here and there. Let them mentor you when they can. Ask for their help; don't be timid or shy. We all have gotten our hunting education and other hunting information from somewhere or at sometime. After all, we weren't born with it. Watch hunting programs on TV. Go out and buy a few good videos. You can learn a lot from a decent video; check out my video on gutting a deer in October of 2006 (it is on the home page about 3/4ths of the way down the page). Start a deer hunting video collection with your hunting partners. It is a great way to accumulate deer hunting information and acquiring a deer hunters education. One of the other best pieces of advise I can give is to get out into the field and hunt! Start archery hunting. You will learn a lot by being in the field and learning from your mistakes. Go where the deer are. Most states departments of natural resources or fish and game departments, will have harvest maps and deer density maps of their state that you can download for reference. They will also give you hunting information about public hunting areas you can hunt in. Do some planning and start a hunting journal.
